Fuerza de voluntad

Being happy is a matter of willpower

Between the ages of 3 and 6, radical changes occur in the lives of children. At this age they begin to have a sense of the future and learn to control their impulses to a certain degree. But not all children have the same skills in self-control.
More than 40 years ago, the Psychologist Walter Mischel proposed scientifically measuring the willpower of a group of children and observing how this skill was able to impact on their evolution into adulthood. To do so, he designed the famous Marshmallow experiment.
Eduardo Punset visited Mischel in his office at the University of Columbia, where they talked about the importance of these first years on future happiness.
